What’s in it for me?
The IPA is much more than just a social club. The IPA encourages professional and social links between serving and retired police officers, specials and police staff from around the world.
As well as local events, you can take part in trips and events run by other branches all over the country and abroad. Membership of the IPA includes your family too, so for pen friends or exchanges for the kids it’s ideal.
If you fancy a holiday somewhere exotic, the IPA owns holiday homes around the world from Sri Lanka to Stockholm. Visit the IPA Houses web site for more information.
There’s also a professional side to the IPA. Each year a series of seminars are given in English at Gimborn, Germany. Staying at Gimborn and attending the seminars is inexpensive and members of the British Section and you can apply to your local branch to help with the cost of getting to Gimborn.
Many members use the IPA for local contacts when travelling abroad. Branch members have made great use of this facility in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. Send off travel form and see what the IPA can do for you.
